Llevamos 4 dias andando y poco a poco vamos ganando kilometros y altura. Cuando hayamos terminado el trek habran transcurrido 17 dias a pie, cargado aproximadamente 240 kilometros de experiencias aun por venir y superado los 5400 metros del Thorong La.
Los desniveles acumulados entre subir y bajar son incontables, porque en los Himalayas de Nepal llanear no existe, y todo lo que baja, sube.
En algun momento de estos 4 dias el Sol sonrio a salpicones, brillo con fuerza para iluminar los campos de arroz y los pueblos que vamos pasando uno tras otro. Lo ha hecho solo cuando el mar de nubes por el que vamos sumergidos le ha dejado, solo cuando la lluvia por un instante se ha soltado de nuestras manos.
En los ultimos 2 dias la lluvia se ha abrazado a nosotros sin soltarnos ni un momento y a las noches retumba nuestros techos con mas fuerza que los truenos. Los rios van muy crecidos y han logrado que algunos puentes pasen a mejor vida; la ruta tiene mas entretenimiento que de costumbre, aunque la diversion es menor para el grupo que viene conmigo que hoy se han perdido el amanecer desde Temang, con el Manaslu en el horizonte.
Veo esta vez un Nepal con un rostro mas lluvioso, donde todo se moja. Es el rostro que nos ha tocado de momento este octubre y habra que sacarle su mayor provecho. Aunque sea dificil para muchos creerlo, tiene su encanto, la fuerza alborotada que cae empicada por los rios y cascadas esta llena de energia y esta en todas partes, los bosques asoman mas salvajes y todo es sumamente verde, todo esta empapado! y mientras el agua sigue cobrando mucho protagonismo a lo largo del camino el humo de las chimeneas sale de las casitas del camino para fundirse con la neblina que se eleva por el vacio de los precipicios.
Todo esto, junto al calor de la fogata, las charlas con nuevos desconocidos y la alegria de nuestros porteadores tras un dia duro para ellos me recuerda que lo veamos o no, brilla el Sol, que no lo deja de hacer nunca, que el Manaslu esta alli, cerca.
