Después de la mujer del velo seguía yo, le hacen mas preguntas que al resto, finalmente le dan una carpeta roja y le indican pasar por un pasillo distinto al de los demás, esto huele mal pensé por dentro, no tiene buena pinta, pobre, me olvide de ella y me centre en pasar, tras muchas preguntas y observar mi pasaporte me entregan la maldita carpeta roja, mierda! al fondo del corredor alcanzo a la mujer, se le ve preocupada, cuenta su historia lo mejor que puede mientras el oficial de migraciones de rasgos asiáticos no deja de preguntar sin sacar los ojos del ordenador que tiene en frente, …finalmente ella sonríe, suena el sello sobre el pasaporte y huye agradecida como si le hubiesen perdonado la vida. La suertuda paso!

Mis maletas las facture en Barcelona hasta Anchorage pero las han bajado en Seattle para revisarlas, voy a identificarlas mientras me pregunto porque a ella no le revisaron el equipaje?…, umm esto no pinta bien…” voy a buscarlas, las cargo conmigo, rompo los 10 euros de protección plástica y saco todo siguiendo sus indicaciones como si cargase entre mis brazos a un hijo recién nacido, se ponen los guantes, han venido tres mas, miran mi querido pasaporte peruano, y sigo contando mi historia…
Recuerdo que saliendo de la Embajada de Estados Unidos de Madrid llame a Javi, mi compañero de escalada en esta aventura, y le dije, “… huevon!, se han puesto pesados pero ya tengo el visado!, ..que no es poco…, nos vamos a Alaska!…”
Mientras guardaba mis cosas, el oficial de migraciones comenzó a hacerme las mismas preguntas y yo a contar mi historia de nuevo “…Si, voy a escalar el Denali, -ah, the mount Mckinley- …Yes, Denali…”
Tras el sello en el pasaporte, huyo, …seguimos rumbo a Alaska,
…que no es poco.
